Peace of mind on holiday
Mrs P’s family booked the presto service to carry out a regular safe and well visit whilst they went on family on holiday. Mrs P has low level dementia so we were asked to remind her what day it is, check she is generally well, have a cup of tea and a chat and making sure she has something in to eat.
We were also briefed about a hairdressing appointment to remind her and to enquire if she had had other family visitors. It meant her immediate family could go on holiday with peace of mind that if there was an issue it would be picked up and Mrs P’s social contact also remained in place.
Relieving pressure on the family
A regular call for Presto is Mrs O. We prepare a freshly cooked meal following the menu left by her daughter. Generally the meal is meat, potatoes and two vegetables cooked fresh daily, plus we leave her a sandwich or salad ready prepared for her tea. All food is in the house ready for the service to prepare. We also drop Mrs O at the hairdressers one day a week. Mrs O’s daughter had struggled to find carers who could cook a fresh meat and two veg meal for her mum who has early stage dementia.
Able to go out and shop
We take Mrs B shopping every week to get a few bits for her, gluten free diet, she does need a little help choosing items and is slow on her feet.
Mrs S was unable to get out to the shops by herself, now Presto staff take her shopping in Headingley weekly. Using Presto has allowed her to get to the shops and choose her own food as well as getting out of the house every week.
Out and about
Mr K needed wheelchair accessible transport and a little support to travel from his from home to Leeds train station. We did this in Presto people carrier with wheelchair access. Door to door support made his journey a lot easier than it had been before.
It's not just daily cleaning (vacuuming, sinks and dusting) Presto carries out
A Bathroom clean, Mrs B fell in bathroom and was on floor for some time before being taken to hospital. The bathroom needed cleaning before lady could be discharged.
The social worker will meet us on site so we could clean the bathroom and therefore allow the lady to be discharged. We have arranged for deep cleans to make homes habitable following discharges from hospital.
Mrs G could not get her large piece of furniture to the roadside for the Refuge service to collect. We arranged for it to be moved to the roadside ready for collection.
The deep cleaning team have carried out specialist deep cleans to make homes habitable so the regular cleaning service then can maintain this. We have carried this out to enable customers to be discharged from hospital and also when they have come in contact with social care.
